The library offers the following services for BC lawyers who live in small communities, or places that don't have a Courthouse Library branch.
Rural Lawyer Credit Program
The Rural Lawyer Credit Program entitles eligible lawyers to a $50.00 credit for library services, including research, database searches, copy cards and photocopy service.
Research advice and document requests
During our open hours, the Vancouver branch is happy to help with research questions or take requests for materials by toll-free phone or email (to save time, use the online forms for requests and research help). We can easily email documents directly to you.
Please see our hours and contact information, as well as our fees for documents.
Book delivery and longer loan periods
If you request a book, we will mail it to you. This applies only to books that are not intended for in-library use only. Loan periods for remote users are two weeks.
Book delivery to nearby branches
If you would like to consult a book that is marked "in-library use only", we can ship it to the nearest branch library free of charge.
